Dr. Van Hook finished his fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil, MD, in February of 2016. Integrative medicine is focused on healing, emphasizing the physician-patient relationship.
General Information
As of January 1st, 2016, Dr. Van Hook has “opted out” of the Medicare health insurance reimbursement program and has started a cash-only, private medical practice. As a result, he can no longer accept Medicare or other health insurance.

Dr. Frederick Van Hook graduated from the University of Arizona School of Medicine in 1997. He then trained in family medicine at Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency in Fort Collins, Colorado. After his residency, Dr. Van Hook completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Upon finishing his fellowship, he started a practice focused on primary care geriatric medicine in Tucson, Arizona. He has been passionate about delivering excellent care to his patients for over 25 years.
